A rare vintage treasure! This exquisite 1960s red, coat-style, dress made from beautiful bengaline fabric with gorgeous rhinestone buttons was designed for Bullock's Wilshire department store by designer, Bert Geiger. It is rich with impeccable details: lavish bengaline fabric that is fully lined. Rhinestone encrusted buttons lay over fabric covered bound button holes on the front placket which are for adornment only. It secures at the placket with 4 red snaps down the front, then is stitched closed toward the bottom. Please note the dress can be made into a coat with alterations. There are 4 faux flap front pockets with 2 actual side hip seam pockets & has bracelet length sleeves. This dress epitomizes what Bert Geiger designs were known for-classic lines with casual, effortless elegance. This dress has been beautifully preserved. US made.
